New statistics highlight an Irish gambling problem
Recent gambling statistics show the reality of an Irish gambling problem. Data prepared by H2 Gambling Capital was published by the Economist this week and shows Ireland has the third highest gambling losses per head in the world.
Last year the Irish lost €470 per head which equates to a massive 1.9 billion Euros, ($2.2 billion). Australia and Singapore came in first and second with substantially higher losses but Ireland topped the US for the first time and moved into third place.
